• Possession Chests •

Back when the Dutch were settling in Indonesia, they brought and stored their most prized possessions in simple wooden boxes. Many of these are still around today. However, there did come a time when they needed new chests, and the native Indonesian carvers responded with their usual flair, adding intricate carving and designs. We have both types offered here. The plain and brass trimmed chests are the original Dutch chests, while the carved chests were created in Indonesia, and are all unique.
